Originally from Roccasecca, a small town outside of Rome, Francesco moved to the United States in 2014 with $700 and a clear vision—to contribute to the world of hair.
After time in New York City and years of development in San Francisco, that vision took form in Francesco Black.
At its core, Francesco Black is where structure meets individuality.
Every haircut is designed through a precise understanding of the core components of the individual—head shape, hair direction, texture, density, and lifestyle—creating results that feel natural, balanced, and long-lasting.
We believe hair is more than appearance—it is identity, confidence, and self-expression.

Yes—every appointment includes a consultation. Whether it’s your first visit or you’re an existing client, we take the time to understand your hair and your goals whenever needed.

These appointments are designed for clients who have gone longer between haircuts.
More time is needed to work through additional length and reshape the hair, especially when moving from longer to shorter styles, where the haircut may be developed through multiple stages to achieve the right final result.
